My Favorite Taiwan Dramas of 2009

Hi everyone! Today Im going to share with all of you my favorite Taiwan Dramas of 2009! And well yes I am a drama fanatic, But seems like lately I havent been blogging about dramas at all, hahaha Ive just been watching and watching so many dramas , its pretty crazy Like currently Im watching a bunch of Taiwan Dramas, Korean, Japanese, American.....yah Like all at the same time, and how much dramas exactly..some people ask me...but well I dont even know, I lost count lol! Ok well I will blog about other Dramas next time! Stay tuned...and well heres the super long list! Have fun reading, hope you like at least one of it!

• Title: 敗犬女王 (败犬女王) / Pai Chuan Nu Wang (Bai Quan Nu Wang)

This drama is sooo good! seriously ! I absolutely love it! I think it had a pretty high ranking. And this drama is so great, the main character is like a workaholic and well, I dont know but I just cried in many scenes but at the same time this drama is so funny most of the time! Its a must watch!! Especially for working ladies :)

• Title: 桃花小妹 / Tao Hua Xiao Mei
• English title: MoMo Love
• Previously known as: 桃花愛無敵
• Genre: Romance, comedy
• Episodes: 13

"Tao Hua Xiao Mei is adapted from Japan's best selling manga Momoka Typhoon. The plot is about Tao Hua who has been pampered and loved by four of her brothers almost to the extend of sister brotherly love. Thus the other brothers ask the 5th brother, Yu Yi to look after the sister, and with the appearance of prince charming Shi Lang, a love battle is created among everybody."
omg! love this drama it is so cute!!! I love the story the cute romance in college scene, so sweet~ and love how the borthers are overly protective! gosh i wonder how that would be...how awesome pretty sweet, this drama is so cute and really funny, and well if you know the band Fahrenheit then its definitely a must watch! Great characters ..singers in this drama! Especially love Jiro Wang!!! he is soo cute~

"Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He's the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Cheng to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. omg! this drama is so sad!! It made me cry so much but in a touching way...I just felt really sad but at the same time this drama has so much meaning and purpose to it, seriously a must watch, theres times where i thought of how this drama is wayy too sad and didnt want to continue on watching but thats when it started to become ok , and having happy scenese! Its such a cute family story ! Love it!! MUST WATCH definitely

• Title: 紫玫瑰 / Zi Mei Gui

This drama is really good! about music, singing and such a cute love ...i seriously love the theme of the story, The purple flowers so pretty!! and well, if you love music...speicifically singing and listening to songs this drama is definitely a must watch for you! I cried in some scenes , its a heart warming story though..i really reccommend it

• Title: 痞子英雄 / Pi Tzu Ying Hsiung (Pi Zi Ying Xiong)
• English title: Black & White
• Genre: Police, action
• Episodes: 24

"Pi Zi and Ying Xiong are two cops who are as different as day and night. One does nothing except for drinking coffee and living a luxurious lifestyle while waiting for information from dubious sources to crack his cases. Another believes law and justice are the pillars of society and is constantly on the street catching criminals… a little overzealously for his superior’s liking. When a case brought these two top crime solvers together, sparks flied and a little light peeked into this dark city where the nation's President is on friendly terms with the local triad and twins kill people while drinking milkshake. "

Ok now this drama! it is sooo good, I cant believe I'd ever say this but lol....I actually like it alot, at first I thought of how it was action and police and immediately I thought this was going to be a boring and lots of shooting kind of drama but actually it was more than that, The way the drama is made and set up is really interesting and theres many parts that are so funny, mainly because of the character attitude...oh and BTW the two main guy character omg! they are so HOT! (may i say..be prepared ...dont drool too much..lol) but yah this drama is really good, similar to the Korean drama IRIS

• Title: 魔女18號 / Mo Nu 18 Hao
• Genre: Family / Fantasy / Comedy
• Episodes: 80

hahaha love this drama Its sooooo funny, This is like how the three sisters are witches and they do many things in order to have the family become a happy and great family, the many things that they do are soooo funny!!!! Seriously if you LOVE comedy, watch this!!! you are going to laugh...oh and this is really cute drama,it has this family ..at home type of feeling...(lol...I dont know but thats how I feel, possibly mainly because I am Taiwanese so seeing this makes me miss my relatives in Taiwan...!!) but yah its pretty funny!

Ok well this drama, shall I say more..? I'm pretty sure you have heard about this drama, (well, first off I'd like to say I think that pretty much all of Rainie Yangs drama are soo good, I have watched all of it, so I guess I can be considered as her semi fan...lol) and this drama is really different! It shows of her in college life in China then the life after in Taiwan...Love the acting ! Its really funny!

Synopsis

The sequel of It Started With A Kiss begins with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu's wedding and honeymoon. Even after marriage, they experience problems and interferences within their marriage such as mistaken pregnancy, misunderstandings, and new found jealousies. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu switch to medical school to become nurse and doctor. During that time, Zhi Shu meets new rivals who wish to outdo him and Xiang Qin makes four new friends, and one of them likes her and wishes to replace Zhi Shu.

okay so my thoughts about this, as always start off with my first impression , again for some reason it made me feel really annoyed with that girl and that guy when xiang qin and zhi shu was at the island, but then again since its a comedy things may not seem to be the way many of us want to see it as...all the romance and some conflicts make this drama great....watch it now!


the beggining seems to be lagging and takes a while but its worth waiting since there are so many new actors in this drama look below their so cute....wang zi( as Ah nuo)

SYNOPSIS
After an earthquake destroyed Xiang Qin's house, she and her father moved in with the family of her father's college buddy, Uncle Ah Li. To her surprise, the kind and amicable aunt and uncle are the parents of her cold and distant schoolmate Jiang Zhi Shu, a genius with an IQ of 200 whom not too long ago rejected her endless crush on him. TRIVIA
The series was based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Itazura na kiss" (Mischievous kiss) by Tada Kaoru. The are 23 volumes of the manga. There is no ending for the manga; the series was still running in Margaret when the author passed away at the age of 38 from a brain aneurysm.
Itazura na Kiss (TV Asahi, 1996) is the Japanese adaptation.
The filming of It Started with a Kiss lasted one entire year. Some scenes were filmed in different seasons, which resulted in many goofs.
The director, Qu You Ning, made two cameos in the drama: One as the fat, middle age woman on a bus who accuses Ah Jin was taking advantage of her and another as Zhi Shu's boyfriend in Xiang Qin's imagination (birthday gift giving scene).
The sequel is set to air in September 2007 due to the show's high ratings (60.1%, third most popular drama in the country) in Taiwan.

My Review
Ok, I'll start off with first impressions, when I started watching it I thought it looked pretty dumb of a drama, and I thought ...of boy another one of those really lame Taiwanese dramas, but then after watching one episode eek, I got addicted to it. (its a really funny drama) watch the first episode and you'll understand what i mean. its a bout this girl that really likes this guy and she finally decides on proposing and telling him that he likes her but haha ...something happens its really funny, watch it now!


a little fact: The main actress Ariel Lin is one of the best actors in Taiwan she won a goldlden bell for best actress. her acting skills are superb, shes awesome.
